to prepare for your vacation? Our recommendation is no less than 3 months. If you decide for a peak travel period it
would be more like 4 or 5 months.
2. Choosing your
destination: There are literally 100's of beach destinations around the world. Here are some elements that may influence your
decision.
- Your budget.
- Travel requirements
(ie visas, airlines coverage)
- What a particular
destination has to offer: festivals, infracstructure, attractions, lodging, reputation, services.
- Type of travel
you wish to have: Family, adventure, romantic, ecotravel, cultural,...etc.
- Time you
have available for your vacation.
- Your preferences.
3. Information.
Once you have chosen a destination, find out about it. In internet you will find all you need to know.

Shop around. One quick way to do this is to get quotes for vacation packages. Exemple: 2 adults, 2 children, 10 days,
airfare, hotel and meals (all inclusive). This will give you a quick and accurate comparison. Check carefully what the hotel
has to offer: restaurant service, room service coverage, beach towels, facilities, amenities, games, spa, fitness center,
beauty salon, pool, baby sitting,...etc.
5. Compare. You
may want to set-up a table for what each vacation package contains. Here are some important components:
- Hotel category
ie. 4 stars, 5stars, grand tourism, luxury.
- Beach front?
- Ocean view rooms?
- Pool?
- Restaurants and
type of food (international cuisine, seafood, italian...etc.)
- services and amenities.
- Location (from
downtown, airport, shopping, nightlife)
- Look for pictures.
